even though we don't celebrate thanksgiving in my culture, let me just say that...

so many things have happened in my life this year, both good and bad, that i know i wouldn't be where i am today if it weren't for my families, my friends, and for you.

through your stories and your thoughts, you have made me cry, made me smile, and on top of everything made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even when i most needed it. so, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

i can't believe it.

they lost! england lost!

and as if that isn't bad enough, brazil lost as well!!!

ok... part of my family is italian and one of the teams we have always supported in the world cup has been italy. but i have to say that i am highly disappointed in the way the match ended today. that ref made a HUGE mistake. it was very clear that italy did NOT deserve that penalty shot!

it's not a matter of whether they deserved to win or loose this match; and quite frankly i won't ever know. they should have gone to the extra 30 minutes, and if it was still 0-0, then to the penalty shots!!!

and i don't care what happened in the last world cup; that was FOUR years ago! this is now! a new world cup!

it was uncalled for, it was unfair, the aussies were robbed, and that ref should be kicked out of world cup games or fired or whatever it is they do to refs.

Hello one and all. I think first of all I should welcome you to my journal and very first entry; although you will have to apologize me for being a terrible hostess since I don't have anything to offer you at the moment. To be honest, I am a BIG H/D fan and that has become my primary reason for opening this journal as in the last year I have read so many fics that now wish to be a more active participant in the communities as well as providing my input.

I hope that as time goes by, when I feel more confident and less busy, I'll be able to contribute more to the world of fan fiction. In the meantime, I look forward to meeting you and enjoying your work and opinions as well. Until then...
